Rajasic Food

In Ayurvedic scriptures it is said that nature, is a primary force of life, it is composed of three qualities or principles called Gunas.
The three Gunas or qualities are Sattva (balance, gentleness, purity, clarity) Rajas (anger, restlessness, anxiety) and Tamas (laziness, sloth, ignorance).
Today I will be covering the 2nd topic Rajas.

What is Rajas?
This words means passion. Rajas Guna i.e the quality of energy, activity, movement, action.

What is Rajasic food?
They are stimulants.
The foods which work positively towards Sāttvā or negatively towards Tamas.
It works positively by the consumption of certain cold, energy giving foods, notably milk products and
works negatively by the regular consumption of hot, spicy, sour and bitter foods.

What are Rajasic food?
Milk products such as old sour milk or sour cream
Veggies such as potatoes, cauliflower, tamrind.
Fruits such as sour apples, bananas, guava
Grains such as millet, corn , buckwheat
Beans such as red lentils
Meat such as fish, shrimp, chicken
Beverages such as tea, coffee, soda, alcohol.

Lord Brahma, the creator, exemplifies the Rajasic temperament.
